Application process

Step 1 – Complete the Application Form

Applicants are expected to have a solid background in basic differential geometry and differential equations to fully participate in the Winter School.

When completing the form:

• Provide a brief summary of your research interests and experience and how it relates to the Winter School theme (max 100 words)
• Attach your Curriculum vitae (CV)
• Include your Participant Talk title & abstract (max 100 words)
• Students must also provide:
  • Referee contact details, who can comment on your academic ability and suitability to the program.
• Travel Grant applicants must additionally provide a formal letter of support from your supervisor, honours coordinator or head of school/department confirming
  • Your academic suitability and benefit of attending the School
  • Support for your funding request and details of any funding support from your home university.
    If you reference prefers to send their letter directly to AMSI they can email coordinator_rhed@amsi.org.au 

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the Winter School. See ‘Acceptance’ below for details.

Step 2 – Pay The Application Fee

After submitting your form, you will be redirected to the Eventbrite payment portal to pay the application fee via credit or debit card.

Applications will not be considered until both the application form and payment are received. If your application is unsuccessful, the fee will be refunded in full.

Step 3 – Acceptance

Applications are reviewed by the Event Director. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within two weeks of application closing date.

Successful applicants will receive instructions on how to accept their place. Please ensure you respond by the deadline provided in your offer email.
