Applications for AMSI Winter School 2020 require both the submission of the:
Regional and/or interstate applicants from an AMSI Member Institution may also be eligible to apply for a Grant to assist with the costs of travel,
accommodation and/or caring responsibilities to attend the school.
Takes approx. 10-15 minutes to complete
Asks applicants to answer a number of questions, including a requirement to supply the contact details of a ‘Referee’, who is able to comment on the applicant’s research and/or academic experience, and their suitability to the program.
Requires the submission of a letter of support from a current supervisor, honours coordinator, and/or head of school/department to support the attendance at AMSI Winter School 2020.
Please note: Submission of an application does not guarantee a place at AMSI Winter School 2020. For more information, please see the ‘Acceptance’ section below.
Students will only be asked to make a payment for their registration fees after receiving a formal offer of acceptance into the course program. Letters of offer will be issued to successful applicants as per the Key Dates schedule and will include instructions on making payment via the UQPay portal.
Please note: Program places will only be confirmed and finalised after registration fees have been paid. Failure to make this payment may result in the withdrawal of offer into the program. Acceptance of AMSI Winter School 2020 applications is at the discretion of the Event Director, and applicants will be notified via email (to the address provided on the form) the outcome of their application to the School within 2 weeks of applications closing.
Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer, following the instructions provided in the notification email by the due date.
Any applicant who wishes to withdraw their application or attendee who wishes to withdraw from participating at AMSI Winter School 2020 must notify the AMSI Winter School 2020 Event Director in writing via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Refund requests will be granted at the discretion of the Event Director.
